New Vineyard Music Logo

Every once in a while you meet somebody that changes the way you look at things; such is the case with Jeff Valdovinos. You see Jeff called us up just like any other potential client - probably found us on the internet for Graphic Design in Portland.

When he talked on the phone - he was soft spoken and  explained to me his intentions. Jeff is a musician, better yet, he is a composer of music. He left his career in electrical engineering to pursue his dreams of being a film score composer. His pursuit of happiness inspired me. Jeff is a dedicated family man of 7 children and one one the way - his wife was the one who initially contacted me about doing a website. You could tell that the whole family was there to back him up. I was sold.

At first we spoke of doing a simple informational website landing page; before I knew it we had worked out some concepts for his new logo, cd packaging and business cards. The deadline was super tight, but in the end we created a beatiful project together.

Good Luck on the new projects Jeff - we wish you and your family the best!

After 4 years - The Return of Cage

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

There was so much anticipation for this long awaited album by Ney York Rapper - Cage.

Depart From Me - the latest full-length album, from underground/ indie-rap legend Cage, a/k/a Chris Palko. The follow-up to Hell’s Winter, his 2005 critically-acclaimed LP, Depart From Me continues Cage’s musical saga of a no-holds-barred, brutally autobiographical journey through his past and present. Plagued by abuse, institutionalization, drugs, and violence throughout his life, these nightmarish experiences have permeated his art and defined the music he makes today. Cage’s music is truly reflective of a reality far stranger than fiction.

On behalf of Definitive Jux Records we built a Microsite for the new Cage album with links to preorder the album before the release date on July 7th. The project was a major success.

Cage is coming to Portland July 15th - Check it out - it’s going to be epic - see you there!!!

Redefining Harrah’s Express

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

Harrah’s Express is the representative office for Harrah’s Entertainment in the greater Seattle area. Yes - thats right - Harrah’s Casino, Caesar’s Palace, Rio, Pink Flamingo - the list goes on. Our goal was to give the website and brand a new look - something more modern and web friendly.

The first challenge was to update the Logo:
Harrah’s Express Logo

We had the challenge of creating a a section that would detail out routine flights and private charters that would fly to the various casino properties. Each trip date would be removed from the list as the date passed. Each piece of the site is fully editable and maintained by the administrative staff.

Making Waves With Kraft Foods

Making Waves

Our friends over at DownStream Interactive contacted us to develop an iPhone ready website for Kraft Foods, Inc. with Content Management System. Of course that was before they mentioned the 22″  touchscreen monitors attaqched to the company kiosks. We ran into some problems with server issues, but after that - the project went smoothly. DownStream was super fun to work with - they have such a great team that helps pull these amazingly HUGE projects all together. The project scope was to create a tradeshow environment for the executives and staff at Kraft Foods. Each attendee would be provided a complimentary iPod Touch with customized applications that would showcase the Event Schedule, show a few award winning video segments, have a live updated PhotoBooth gallery and even a Seminar Document section complete with notes and downloadable files such as PDFs and Power Point presentations.

In less than 24 Hours - The project was success! Go Team!
