Oregon Bride Magazine & Dee’s Studio Ltd.

Monday, May 21st, 2007
“For the discerning brides, let the fun begin!”

Dee’s Studio of Gresham, Oregon asked us to layout an advertisement that would be featured in the Oregon Bride Magazine. The advertisement was a full color 1/3 page ad in CMYK. Susie, of Dee’s Studio Ltd., wanted to focus on the many facets of wedding attire that they carry in the store. We wanted to highlight the bride, the bridemaids, the mothers, the flower girls and of course, the accessories that go along with each.

We gathered together stock imagery from the various bridal vendors including Maggie Sottero, Raylia Designs, Bill Levkoff, Sweetie Pie, and Coloriffics. We prepared the formal design and natural color palette to compliment the fall season when the advertisement is scheduled to be released. Upon approval of the ad, we were delighted to be asked to set up a new website domain. Check them out online at www.deesstudio.net and also in the Fall/Winter Oregon Bride Magazine.

Soap Company Gets Tuff

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

We recently met up with Andrea from Tuff Betty Soaps to discuss a graphic design project and possibly a little more. She explained that her company (based here in Portland, Oregon), was interested in doing a website re-design. She continued to describe the theme of her branding - 1940s, women workers, vintage nostalgia. It was time to get down and dirty - pun intended.
Before we even touched our sketch books and Wacom tablets, we had to collect a few items from Andrea such as her company logo and other such collateral. We then scoured the net, browsed photo libraries and had a visit to Boarders (shhh - that’s an industry secret). We came up with a few inspired designs and with the help of Andrea, herself, we came up with something that looked similar to this:

Tuff Betty Soap

In the next couple of weeks, we look forward to integrating this new design into the new Tuff Betty website.
