whos ur daddy store

Chris and Trevor gave us a call sometime during a lunch break from the construction site to discuss concepts for their new venture project. The idea… a gift website for men. It’s almost an oxymoron, I know, but there is definately something remarkable about this site; it just works.

Stock full of BBQ Grills, Football Memorabilia, Hunting Gear, NASCAR Products and even some electronics,  Whos ‘Ur’ Daddy Store, is a place that guys can send there wives, girlfriends, etc., for some gift ideas they know their man will enjoy.

bbq grill

The website is powered by Drupal CMS and the content is being updated by Chris and Trevor, two guys who know how to “Get Er’ Done” - When your prepping the grill in these last few days of summer be sure to check out WhosUrDaddyStore.com

- Good luck fellas!

CAPiTA Snowboards Website Launch 07/08

capita intro

Ok - so what happens when you mix top notch fine artists, Pabts Blue Ribbon, loud rock n’ roll, soul searching youth, snowboarding, and business?

Welcome to the latest installment of the CAPiTA Snobwoards project. We had a ton of fun working on this project. There is something about the snowboard culture that keeps me young. At one point in time I remember thinking - “what am I doing here in the sound booth making belching noises in my best saprano?” Well just click on the center CAPiTA logo to launch the website Pop-Up window and hear for yourself. In the end we were really pleased with the results. We worked closey Ephraim, main art director for the CAPiTA brand,  to create a website that was both playful and functional.

capita flash

The Flash introduction was definatley one of my favorite elements to work on. The concept was definately off-the-wall. Imagine a rabid foaming rainbow mouth of an invisible dragon who growls at you, but accidently spews up his own tongue, a magic word balloon, and a drools over your face like Niagra Falls. The word ballon turns out to be the main navigation for the website. When the web user scrolls over a link in the navigation our lil’ CAPiTA monster in the upper right corner coughs up the subnavigation like a cat would cough up a hair-ball. - All this in the name of snowboarding.

capita team

The true backbone to this website is the Team. These guys are truly amazing individules. They Inspire, Create, and Live Art! Many of the team riders design their own snowboard graphics and softgood products like T-Shirts and Poster Art. One nifty feature I wanted to mention was the talking word baloons on each Rider Team Page. We created a plug-in for Wordpress that displays the latest news from each rider inside of a word baloon so it looks as though they are talking to you while at the same time the content is always fresh with every new update from the rider’s blog.

capita tyler

This year’s product line has already been awarded some of the industry’s top awards for snowboard construction and art direction. In order to really compliment the product line we incorporated a Flash Zoom tool that you can use to view even the smallest details on the boards.

capita boards

All in all - Snowboarding is about having fun - so maybe that sums up the way I feel about this website. Check out the website when you get a chance and if you are heading up to Mt. Hood - maybe we could car pool. Enjoy the ride!

Blue from Capita

PS - Thats Blue Montgomery, you can read more about Blue and the origins of CAPiTA Snowboards here.
